Thanks for checking out the Too Dark To Read Podcast. My name is Jennifer Vandenberg and I’ll be reading fun stories to you.

The first story is a mystery titled “Answers in the Ashes.” Mattie Garrets just wants to be left alone, but that is impossible when so many in the town of Yankton, South Dakota think that she is a firebug. Ever since her adopted mother died in a house fire when Mattie was eight she has been a suspect.

During the summer of her twenty-fifth year the fires are escalating. When her mother’s body is discovered in a freshly burned house Mattie will have to shed her solitude to find out the truth. What actually happened when she was eight years old? Who murdered her mother and why? As her life and the life of others are threatened she will need to find a way to stop the past from repeating itself.

Each chapter will be read in one episode. “Answer in the Ashes” is 30 chapters long. Two episodes will be published each week.
